I am no expert in anything but my own experience, and it is my hope that you gain something by reading about my struggles, my failures, and, yes, my successes. Because the Beast that is suicidality must be beaten back, put in its cage – only then can you really start to live.
The reason I write - and am also writing a book - is to share my story in the hopes of helping someone else with theirs.
I used to be an intensely private person, so much so that it interfered with my own mental health. Yet, if you can’t be honest with yourself, how can you heal? And after years and YEARS of therapy, I decided my mental health depended on my transparency.
So here we are, you and me. At the start. Let’s begin together.
